Battles

Ok- I hear the message loud and clear God. I am writing this today because this message keeps coming to my heart so strongly… so I’m listening and responding.

What is your hope in when times seem hopeless?

This week, someone very near and dear to me passed away. Hours before she passed away, I was at home cooking and listening to music. Several songs came on that all had a similar theme: battles.

After listening to several of these songs in a row, I stopped what I was doing.

I couldn’t help but think of my family member and their battle with cancer.

We all have battles, don’t we? Battles with cancer or other health struggles, battles with addiction, battles with depression, battles with our identity or self worth. For our little heart warrior, his battle is with congenital heart disease.

The songs that I was listening to were all saying how we don’t have to fight our battles alone and that our battles are the Lord’s.

What battle do you need to give to Jesus today so that you can feel PEACE and HOPE?

I am so thankful that God fights for me and that I am not alone in my battles. Jesus offers me peace in my struggles and victory over death! Praise Jesus!

“You can do all things. You can do all things but fail. Cause You never lost a battle, You never lost a battle, and I know You never will.”

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.” 2 Chronicles 20:17
